This could easily be the largest park in Alexandria. A little hint of history: The palace was used by the kings back when Egypt was a kingdom as a summer place for the Royal Family, and the gardens were used for hunting. The palace is situated in the gardens over looking the sea.
After the 1952 revolution, and Egypt being a republic, the gardens were turned into a public park, while the palace is closed down. The beaches are divided between several private and public beaches.
There was another Palace inside the park, Al Salamlek Palace, which is now a 5 stars hotel.
