Yesterday I was talking to my mom on the phone and she was asking when my girlfriend and I will return from Dahab. Ras Shitan, literally translates to “Head of the Devil”. Though this is not its real name, but this is how it is known among the few people that know the place and usually go there. The real name was “Ras el Shateen” which translates to “Head of the two beaches”, but due to foreigners that try to pronounce the Arabic name, it was transformed to Ras Shitan.
